Kilt vs. Tartan?

How do you know that? Do you own a pair of trews?

One of my best friends wears trews on a regular basis to Scottish functions, and loves them.

While I don't actually know that trews aren't as comfortable as a kilt, I can't imagine that any form of trousers would be. That being said, I do like the look of them and might consider wearing them somewhere that trousers were mandated. However, given a choice between bifurcation and freedom, the kilt wins every time whether it be tartan or solid colored. (though I do prefer tartan kilts over solid kilts)
