Quite so; but you do have the option of wearing jeans—that's what it means to have a mature attitude to wearing a kilt.

I agree, there are times the kilt is not the best choice. However since I do occasionally need to head out kilted in bad weather I find an inverness does a very nice job.

In that kind of wind, just stay home with a cup of tea!
