Another hour and a half...I busted a needle and had to try two more to find one that would work. This material is pretty tough and putting folded-over belt-loop ends onto about 8 layers of cloth and bar-tacking them down onto the waistband...well.... So I had to move the belt loops down a bit, off of the waistband. Not a big deal. ANYWAY, belt loops on, buttonhole for the left hand corner of the under-apron is in, and the button sewn on. I hand-reinforced the velcro in one odd location...bit of an experiment.

I did this one FAST 'cause I'm pressed for time. It's a nice, sturdy, wearable kilt but some of the stitching could be a bit straighter! Probably nobody but me will notice....well, and the F-H.A.A.G. who freely admits to being obsessive compulsive and will likely put the thing under a microscope! Remember, this is supoosed to be a QUICK AND EASY kilt to sew!

I've finally decided for sure. I'm not ever gonna bother to sew the INSIDE folds of the box pleats.

I just have to wash it to get out the chalk marks, and press it up again for a final go and it's ready.
