It looks like a good value purchase, but I don't like the closure at all. It looks like it would pop open and/or get loose very quickly.
That's one of the nice things. The closure is a two piece post that screws through the leather. You can just remove it by unscrewing it and replace it with any kind of closure set up you want.

Is it as easy to open and close as it looks?
Yes, it is. That's one of the things I intend to watch. Will the leather stretch, and allow the sporran to pop open on it's own? Only time and wear will tell.

I have one and like it quite well. The strap it comes with is also quite sturdy. It's very easy to open and close once you work it a couple of times. a bit stiff at first.

I have a similar sporran I bought surplus from the Canadian army, or at least from a surplus outfit. It is very similar, and I like it a lot. I wear it anytime I am very casual during the day and want leather at the waist. It's not any too big, but it's fine for most things.

You can also find another similar one with tassels on eaby at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=012

Actually it doesn't. It gets a little easier once broken in but it holds just fine.
