Also as much as I like my Montrose I never suggest it to someone if it will be their only formal jacket. First it is considered dressier than the PC, perfectly acceptable for white tie.

Exactly, granted I wore mine a dozen or so times last year but comparatively that is light use for me. And I did not use it May through September. Too bloody warm.
