One question to consider for the rent/buy side, is will you or your groomsmen be using the kilts jackets after the wedding? If not, they could probably unload them here......

Thanks Mac. I really am a lucky fool. I don't know. The more I read, the less convinced I am in wearing the kilt for the wedding.
