Remember when all of the Pakistani mills were making the Irish National in Acrylic? Remember how BRIGHT the green was? Eventually, HOE (the copyright holder for Irish National) went after the resellers (and the mills, but that was harder to do as they are in Pakistan) and they had to stop carrying the kilts. Eventually the orders dried up for Irish National at the Pakistani mills and they stopped making it (except for Jerry at SWK who entered into an agreement with HOE to carry it if the colors were changed to ACCURATELY REFLECT the tartan).

I have a dozen swatches of Pakistan wool and acrylic here in our shop to show customers who are curious about different fabrics and the differences between the fabrcs. All of the colors tend to be VERY "intense".
