    That's what I call forward thinking but here in Scotland we would wear our normal kilt - no-one would expect otherwise - but with a white shirt and black tie. Jacket would be daywear tweed style. I posted elsewhere that I had read somewhere about wearing black hose although I would just wear the normal self-coloured ones.

    Yes I agree totally.Yes to normal self-coloured hose too.

    I would agree with this.. what better way to show respect than to wear "your" tartan. Is there any reason why you would want to wear something different? And sort of off topic, but I have seen many posts on a few threads now about the black hose/funeral connection, and other than from a few members here, I have never heard of such a thing.

    You could always add a black armband to that outfit. Some of the funeral parlors still provide them to pall-bearers.
