Hey is that a Fraser Tartan?

I then used another brad to glump some gorrilla glue in the hole and tapped in the brads with a small hammer. I hit them in pretty well. I let them dry for two hours and then made sharp points with my dremmel tool. I think they came out pretty well. And I really yanked on the brads with a pair of pliers - they didn't come out. HMMM... as a professional Locksmith my guess would be a "Skate key" Although I've not seen skates that use those since I was a youngin"...

Great Idea on the stud post. Wish I'd thought of that when I did Dirks.

If you mean Fraser & Kirkbright, then probably yes. If you mean the Fraser Clan, then No - While I didn't get my cloth from them, it's a "fashion" tartan that we now understand comes from ..here.. and is still available. I have a kilt made out of it and I like it. It makes for a very nice hot-weather kilt. Since it's not been claimed by a clan or group I put my own name on it. I call it "Light Grey Leatherneck Urban Warfare tartan number 16"

The center key is a skate key for the old skates that you wore attached to your street shoes. There were two adjustment you nned the key for one was the length and the other was to move the sides of the skates in to clamp on to the shoe.

Right!!!!
I don't have the skates anymore, but I somehow managed to keep the key, which now is a rather unique kilt pin

Always had two keys. One was on a string that was worn around the neck while skating. Hard to lose and ties into the roller skates straps when the skates were put away. The other was always in the top dresser drawer. Luckily you could buy replacement in the five and dime or the hardware store. Just remember that today you have to have custom made high top skates. The old bolt on your shoe type just would not do.
