Always had two keys. One was on a string that was worn around the neck while skating. Hard to lose and ties into the roller skates straps when the skates were put away. The other was always in the top dresser drawer. Luckily you could buy replacement in the five and dime or the hardware store. Just remember that today you have to have custom made high top skates. The old bolt on your shoe type just would not do.
