Well, you get into the whole diced beard, solid colored beard issue with that. Cream colored beards Vs. traditional colored beards... That could get ugly.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Modern, ancient, weathered, muted, dress, hunting........imagine the varieties.
And after taking care of the beards, perhaps we should consider tartan colored toupe's for the follicularly challenged. A lot of folks don't like hats, y'know.

I confess! I grew a beard because I had such a heavy "5 o'clock shadow" all the time when a young man, I had to shave twice a day. I got fed up with shaving all the time, trimming was quicker and looked tidier.
Now, of course, his scruffy look for guys is now fashionable - 40 years too late!

Yep, I've got the scruffy five PM look. Just trimm it with a beard trimmer without the plastic depth thing on it ever couple of days. I've got long hair too.

My beard is grey enough to take a dye, but unfortunately not long enough to try some kind of tartan dye job, or I might just give it a try some weekend when my scotch cabinet gets left open accidentally on purpose.

About a year after I retired from the Corps, and my beard had reached proper Santa proportions, but was still dark brown, (the belly was by then the right size too, but that's another story

) I decided to dye all the hair above my neck totally white and then rent myself out as Kris Kringle. I went into a ladies beauty salon and spent $60 and almost eight hours letting these three lovely ladies fuss over me and do the entire make-over. They did a great job (sorry, no digital photos available) and we all enjoyed the day......and I really had fun being Santa - "Have you been a good little girl/boy?"
... But (there is always a but!) the problem came when my hair started growning out. That was the pits. For about two months or so, I had this weird two-tone head and beard.

To make matters worse, I did it again the next year - but no more. Now around Christmas time, I softly brush on "liquid paper" or "white-out." I only need it a few places now, and it showers right out.

If I could find other colors of that stuff, it wouldn't be all that hard to make a "tartan" beard to match a specific kilt.........

Why have a fly plaid when you can have a tartan beard...?Because both are too formal...
 White tie beard...
 Using teeth for cufflinks...
It all looks the same to me.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
