    I'm no math whiz (Bob would snort iced tea out his nose at THAT understatement) but does the following not, err, follow to anybody else?

    1/4 inch almost 6mm to 1/2 inch almost 13mm. 3/8 inch is almost 1 centimeter..........(A.K.A. 10mm)

    Don't be too hard on Jay, I believe my return has him all flummoxed. Besides he does know clicks, oh and at his age; cubits .

    I do know clicks - and will gladly explain cubits to you when you finally come down to help finish the ark!!! You did say that you hold some sort of rinky-dink boat qualification?

    OK - I'm an idiot - I was looking at a plastic ruler that sort-of lives next to the monitor at Lodge and didn't realize that the 1 on the ruler really meant "10"

    I was in favor of the mandatory metric conversion for the U.S. but it fizzled, so I lost interest...... Same thing happened a few years ago with the Martian lander project - remember?

    So I will not try for any conversion in the future except for a dram, and we'll agree to use my glass...
