I'm in agreement about Wal-Mart.
I'm not a kilt snob, but do have issues with kilts going mainstream (a recent development). I do not like what Hot Topic sells and am afraid of Wal-Mart doing a cross between an SK and an Insta-Kilt.
UKs have been wholesaled to various shops in recent years, but those are specialty shops- small businesses.
I'm waiting on Macy's to carry them. You'll see kilts take off in the more affluent classes. That will make me cranky.
Anyway, kilts aren't "American" enough to be sold at Wal-Mart. Not a slam- just an understanding that the company focuses on lower-to-middle class Americans.
