Keep in mind gentlemen, that a magazine article is not proof of any sort!
Some say elements of the film 'Braveheart' are historically accurate, or the like.
There are no links to anything (if anything), Therefore (though I am not saying it) it is possible that MacMillan could make it up himself, but I highly doubt that.
The article shows (though not very well) that this man made the shoes, but not that he invented them.
Neither in the post nor in the article are there citations.
I remain skeptical.
More research must be done on my part for me to say otherwise.
