    So true. We talk about our forefathers' kilts and walking sticks long worn or leaned upon by others. They were dear even when they were purchased, but their quality is why they are still with us today. Save your pennies for the best and buy the best your pennies can buy; pass these cherished posessions on to the one(s) who will appreciate them most -- and can wear them/use them for another generation or two.

    With Vibram soles to boot! Any footwear with that stuff on the bottom are sure to hold up to almost any hill walking you could throw at them.
