Ron,
Phil has exactly the photo you need but I couldn't find it with a quick search.
In it he is wearing a kilt, formal waist coat with tartan on the bias, and argyll hose all in the Galbraith ancient tartan ( because Phil is a gentleman of extraordinary taste 
)
I will shoot him a PM and see if he will post the picture here so you can see how the look works.
