I support the ban. There's no need for seal harvest, especially the way that some of it is still being done. Whaling and sealing are unnecessary, IMHO. I have three sporrans, all bovine, and they all look great!
The hunting of seals will continue due to the over population of seals, the ban isn't going to lessen it. It is done as humanly as possible as per regulations as opposed to PETA distruths. I respect your choice but I do ask All of the seal is used, meat oils and pelts, so how is this different from bovine?
