Notice the model is wearing a Prince Charlie, with a 5 button waistcoat, a ruche tie, and a belt yet no sporran. I'd say the appearance is hardly traditional, it looks to me like a modern variant. Over the past few years I've noticed some companies trying the PC with the 5 button normally associated with an argyll jacket as a way to get the younger generation involved. This charcoal tweed Prince Charlie seems to be an extension of the same.
