With respect, that's not what I said. I don't believe that cheaper, non wool kilts are junk. On the contrary, It's my opinion that these kilts provide an invaluable introduction for the would be kiltie. I have the utmost respect for Jerry at Stillwater and his like as they bring the possibility of affordable kilting to hundreds of people. Not everyone needs or wants a wool kilt and the decision to purchase one is personal to the individual.
I have been bitten by the wool kilt bug so it is a road I have chosen to follow but that's just for me. I do not decry anyone who owns and is happy with a non wool kilt, I own five myself and as previously stated, I still wear them. I apologise if my post came across as damning non wool kilts. That was not my intent.
