Because of the extra leather on one side the belt does not lie right and the buckle angles. Solutions?
I've had similar trouble with the traditional, wide kilt belt. The extra leather makes it thicker on one side for an awkward look and feel. I tried adjusting it to the proper size, removed the buckle and then put something heavy (a treadmill) on the loop where the buckle goes to try to flatten it out so the buckle doesn't angle so much. I met with middling success.
Sorry for the threadjack. Try searching for "kilt belts" for more info!
