All of this sounds like it would be more fun than a barrel of glue, but it needs to be run by Steve before anybody makes any plans or says, "I'll do this" or "You do that".

Aye, to be honest I thought this would be like many of my threads and fizzle out pretty quickly, but apparently I was wrong. It was good to get some responses though, thanks guys. I will contact him and reply. Thanks guys.

Please use the search function. It's simple, really. Just type in "Xmarks tent" and you can easily find the answer you're looking for. Here's a post from Steve which covers this topic...again.

That was great advice. When I posted this thread, however, I didn't mean for the Xmarks tent to be viewed as a clan tent, but a simple unified location for members of xmarks as well as prospective members. I was thinking it would be more mingled with the vendor tents. Either way, thanks for all the input. Thread can be closed/deleted if need be. Thanks.

Somehow I don't see most games organizing committee's placing such a tent with the vendors -- it's a really a case of "neither fish, flesh nor fowl".
I think the precedent of informally gathering at a member's clan tent, or at the beer tent, is a good one.

I've made this joke before, in other contexts, but in Ontario such a tent would otherwise be known as "The Beer Tent." Anyway, don't take too much heart at preceived sarcasms-I humbly submit that experience has shown me that things come across more harshly in print than is generally intended.
