I used to have a nice black one a few years ago. Many moves later I have no idea where it is now.
Perhaps I need to go shopping.
I'll throw in my tuppence worth also. I for one, almost never wear short sleeved shirts outside any more. After having somewhere around a dozen skin cancers peeled off - only one of the really nasty sort- I find a loose fitting shirt cooler here than the more formal type. In addition I get far fewer mosquito bites, they can't reach me from the fuller fabric. Fortunately I married a stage costumer, (among other talents) and she makes all my "gillie" shirts. (the mfgs do not make them with 38" sleeves!). I have raw cotton colour, green and lovat blue, and hose to match. Those colours are also in the kilt (well almost, the blue is really azure). But you get the idea. If it looks good to you and your SO, the go for it. But matching the hose to the shirt is always a good idea.
