Kiltboy or Nighthawk - can you recommend a retailer (on-line or otherwise) who might have a more varied selection of Texas/Western wear (belts, buckles, vests, etc.) that would be more "appropriate" with a kilt? The Cavendars and Sheplers stores do not seem to have the right stuff. For instance, the widest belt I could find at these retailers was 1 and 1/2" whereas a true kilt belt is 2 and 1/2 to 3" wide.

I kind of doubt you are gonna find a 'western' style belt thats wider than what will go through the belt loops on jeans, same with buckles, even the big*ss rodeo award ones still only fit a 'regular' belt. There are some leatherworkers here on the forum that could likely make a kilt belt for you with western tooling etc. that could still fit a regular western buckle.
As far as vests and other clothing, I'd look over some of the cowboy action shooting vendors like Frontier Classics or Wild West Mercantile, they have lots of vest styles, many of them higher cut, so they fit good with kilts.
