Animal House 30th Anniversary?
Has it been that long?
I saw the movie ahead of the general public because a buddy of mine worked for the publicity company and snuck us into the press preview. I remember thinking "This is hilarious" and then "...but HOW are they going to get away with showing this in theatres? It's too outrageous."
Anyway, WGN, local but available nationwide over cable, is having a few of the cast members and Otis Day on their morning show tomorrow.
Ya know..........it makes me wanna SHOUT!
And always remember: Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.
Best (and you're all on double secret probation!)

You know, I'd never even heard of that film until I started dating Diane.
Apparently it was filmed at the University of Oregon so everyone there was absurdly proud of the film.
I enjoyed it, but I did have to suspend my 'British humour' to understand it.

Ah...British humor.
So how can the same nation that gave us Noel Coward, Oscar Wilde, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Flanders and Swann, and the Penny Dreadfuls also have given us Benny Hill and the "Carry On" films?
I suppose that Animal House so spoofed the conventional American image of college life in the sixties by showing it more like it probably really was and that was the gist of the humor of it. That and a good food fight...

Ah Auld,
After five years in Carbondale (SIU) in the late sixties that film hits way to close to home. It may explain why I'm kilted now! I think I might have dated that Fawn chick.

Animal House reminds me of when I was a sophmore in college.... the 3 longest years of my life.
don't forget that little known rule, when you blood alcohol level exceeds your GPA, you have to leave.
