Question about going casual
Ok guys, I have a conundrum and I'm needing some advice from you fine gentlemen.
Coming up soon is the GMHG, and I am planning on wearing my kilt all 4 days. I have a jacobite shirt to ear one day, my finery for one night etc...but I am really wanting to dress down for the Celtic Jam rock concert that is held on friday night. I still want to wear my kilt, but I am leaning towards wearing a t-shirt and my boots, but I don't want to look ridiculous.
So my q is this...how do I wear my t-shirt? Do I *have* to tuck it under my kilt? Should I wear hose and flashes with my hiking boots? Do I dare go jam out to Albanach while going regimental (Do I dare *not* go regimental while jamming to Albanach, lol?). Any advice you guys could float my way is greatly appreciated.
Ya'll rock.

I wear my T's untucked (if they are unusually long I then sort of roll the bottom up to a good length). I wear hiking socks or kilt hose without flashes and pushed down to my boots. As for the 'the' question, I guess it depends on how you dance. Slam dancing would require undergarments for me, slow dancing may not.

I'd say T-shirt tucked in, boots with scrunced down hose no flashes, going regimental or not is completely up to you.

Tuck in your shirt, it'll show off more of the kilt.

To add my 2c I'd wear boots with hose scrunched down and tuck the tee in!

Would that not be 2p or even 1p?
But hey, t-shirt in (or out, your choice), boots w/ hose scrunched down and no flashes. Reggie is your choice but a heavyweight (16oz) wool kilt will not fly up like a lighterweight PV kilt. But trust us you'll not be the only one there dressed thusly. Big thing is to have a blast.

Yep; I reckon the same as Mc Murdo. Scrunched hose & tucked in T. "The rest " is up to you....

I agree with McMurdo. Even if you're kilting casually, a tucked shirt looks best with the kilt in my opinion.
